What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain Ligonier's iOS and Android apps using React Native and Expo.
- Implement platform-specific native modules in Swift and Kotlin where needed.
- Architect and optimize mobile data-fetching layers using REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Manage app store releases, CI/CD pipelines, and build configurations for both platforms.
- Profile and improve app performance — startup time, memory, battery, and rendering.
- Participate in project planning, defining tasks, collecting requirements, researching solutions, and documenting new features and updates.
- Provide technical consultation and advice, guiding management and teams on mobile best practices and architecture.
- Maintain source control standards, conduct code reviews, and proactively monitor applications for performance and security issues.
- Collaborate with third-party developers, defining requirements, managing priorities, and addressing roadblocks.
- Stay up to date on mobile industry trends and participate in professional development opportunities.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on mobile development.
- Expertise in React Native and Expo, including custom native module development.
- Proficiency with TypeScript in a mobile context.
- Familiarity with iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) development workflows and toolchains.
- Experience submitting and managing apps on the App Store and Google Play.
- Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs in a mobile context.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments with a focus on secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of mobile data security best practices, including GDPR compliance and secure coding.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and interface with leadership.
- A deep commitment to excellence, stewardship, and biblical truth.
- Affirmation and agreement with Ligonier's General Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct.
This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
The pay range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
